Hot Knife Digital Media worked to help visualise Active Ingredient’s bid for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad. Hot Knife adapted stop motion footage supplied by AI and created 3D photo-frame elements into the landscape to develop the project beyond a standard stop motion animation. The overall project was the visualisation and mapping of several ‘digital’ Olympic torches that would be released to the general public as a celebration of the spirit of the Olympics.

Linney Design required an ident update to visualise their new working practices. The brief called for definitions upon ‘light touch’ with free creative reign over the abstract shots. Hot Knife set about designing, storyboarding, animating, rendering, compositing and editing the sequences to produce the final piece, utilising everything from pencils and paper to 3ds Max and Composite 2011.
Kudos Showers ltd contacted Hot Knife directly to create a bespoke ‘motion brochure’ for their new wetroom systems. Our solution is a 3D character led programme extolling the virtues of their product range and the wetroom system itself. The presentation also includes an additional animated installation guide for professionals. From concept design, script, storyboard and animatic to final edited 7minute piece Hot Knife had the imagination, skill, adaptability and fire power to handle each and every stage along route.
